I put this video together for anyone who is thinking about specializing in online copywriting.
I was inspired to make the video by a few people who had approached me and asked whether or not there was still a viable opportunity for online copywriters, or whether the market was already saturated.
That’s a reasonable question – and I think and hope this short video answers it.
As you will see, I actually think the opportunity is bigger than ever, and for 4 specific reasons.
And here is that link for more information about my online copywriting program, Copywriting 2.0…

Hi Nick,
I just watched your video. Thanks for putting it together. It was very useful and I have learned some things that perhaps went by me on the teleconference the other day. Here is my question to you: As a COS member I have the “Webwriting 2.0” program and also the program “Writing Money-Making Websites” . Which of these would you do first if you want to be a web copywriter?
At the moment I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I am writing Spec-Challenges (of course those deadlines will be here and past very quickly now), doing COS, writing a Ph.D. dissertation and social-cultural-medical anthropology and linguistics (hopefully I can finish this darn thing!). I am also committed to becoming a successful, highly paid copywriter – a dream I have held for a long time (2011 was my 1st BookCamp). To make that happen I feel I need to do many things at once, but how likely is anyone able to do that?
Anyway, your advise on which of the two programs to begin with – Webwriting 2.0 or Writing Money-Making Websites – will really be of value to me.
Thanks, Nick. I value your experience.
Best regards,

Khari, hi
It certainly sounds like you are busy! Given your plans, the next program to take would be Copywriting 2.0. That’s the one you need to build up your expertise in the craft of online copywriting.
Nick
Nick,
Thanks so much for making this video. It’s always good to see a person, hear them talk and realize how enthusiastic about their subject.
Your 4 reasons that webcopywriting is relevant sure are right on target. It’s amazing, for example, how most websites are written very poorly from a sales point of view.
FYI, I’ve had Copywriting 2.0 for a while–it’s where I learned web writing–and it is a very high quality product with invaluable information. I’d recommend it for sure.
Nick,
Great question.
I’m planning my new web copywriting business right now (It’s not live yet) and I really wanted to hear the answer you gave us in the video. With your vast experience, I always listen carefully to your advice.
Oh, and I just wanted to say, I read the last page of web copywriting 2.0 yesterday. Then I sat back and thought to myself ‘what a brilliant course’. You even display your skills by making it so easy to read.
I’m going to reread it and compile some checklists to help me (I love checklists – they work for me).
